About this Demonstration
Note: Due to the nature of the performance and the volume of sound on stage, the Your Heaven® CloseUp® System is using a feedback resistant mode that does not sound quite as true to the original isntrument as it normally does. But we think it still sounds superior to the piezo pickup that Robin has installed in her cello.
This is a recording from a performance by Arc Iris at Aurora in Providence, RI. Robin Ryczek, cellist for Arc Iris, used the Your Heaven® CloseUp® System to amplify her cello for this performance.
If you toggle back and forth between the audio tracks, you can compare the sound in the hall, as recorded by an Audio Technica AT822 (placed above the stage and to audience right), and the sound coming directly out of the cello via the Your Heaven® CloseUp® System or and installed piezo pickup. We think you'll find that the Your Heaven® CloseUp® System does an excellent job of capturing a quality, acoustic-sounding cello sound while simultaneously rejecting most of the other sound on stage and avoiding feedback.
Stereo Room Mic
The Stereo Room Mic is an Audio Technica AT822 XY stereo condenser used as a reference to capture the sound in the room.
