About this Demonstration
Alex plays his Takamine EG-332SC Steel String Acoustic Guitar through the Your Heaven® CloseUp® System for Guitar, two high-end studio microphones (a Neumann KM150 and a Danish Pro Audio DPA 4036), and the guitar's built-in internal pickup for comparison.
If you toggle back and forth between the audio tracks, you can compare the sound of the Your Heaven® CloseUp® System for Guitar with that of the Neumann and DPA mics. We think you'll be impressed.
When the drummer enters, you can hear how well the Your Heaven® CloseUp® System for Guitar isolates the guitar from the sonic environment while maintaining sound quality similar to well respected studio microphones. Amazingly, the drums don't affect the recording very much!
While the drumming almost totally overpowers the guitar in the hypercardioid and omni mic recording (the drums are even louder than you hear in this video - we had to use a limiter!), you can hardly hear it in the Your Heaven® CloseUp® System for Guitar recording. The built-in pickup also provides excellent isolation, but sounds nowhere near as nice as our system. Our system will also do this when used on stage.
