Stereo Room Mic
The Stereo Room Mic is an Audio Technica AT-822 XY stereo condenser used as a reference to capture the sound in the room.
Mix of Your Heaven CloseUp® Systems
This track is a mix of all four Your Heaven CloseUp® String Instrument Systems. It showcases the impressive sound the Your Heaven CloseUp® String Instrument Systems output, either for live amplification, recording or both. The players are panned and mixed to approximately match the stereo room mic recording. Since so little extraneous sound is picked up by the CloseUp® Systems, a touch of reverb is added to put the instruments in a space.
Solo Instruments - CloseUp® System
Choose any of these tracks to solo one of the instruments in the quartet. This will allow you to hear the impressive isolation the Your Heaven® CloseUp® Systems achieve without sacrificing sound quality. These tracks are simply the instrument's channel from the mix (Mix of Your Heaven CloseUp® Systems - see above) solo'd.
About the Performance
This recording was made at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater in Pittsburgh, PA by the Kassia Ensemble string quartet for a streaming breadcast. The Your Heaven CloseUp® String Instrument Systems were a perfect fit for this performance since they were able to achieve both excellent isolation and sound quality without sticking out in the video.
