    About this Demonstration

    Alex plays his Takamine EG-332SC Steel String Acoustic Guitar through the Your Heaven® CloseUp® System for Guitar, two high-end studio microphones (a Neumann KM150 and a Danish Pro Audio DPA 4036), and the guitar's built-in internal pickup for comparison.

    If you toggle back and forth between the audio tracks, you can compare the sound of the Your Heaven® CloseUp® System for Guitar with that of the Neumann and DPA mics. We think you'll be impressed.

    You will notice that the built-in pickup of the acoustic guitar sounds metallic – almost like an electric guitar. We have rarely head one that sounds better than this. The built-in pickup certainly does not capture the natural acoustic sound of the instrument. On the other hand, the Your Heaven® CloseUp® System for Guitar sounds much more like the high-end microphones, capturing the natural acoustic character of the instrument.

    In addition to capturing a natural sound from the instrument, the Your Heaven® CloseUp® System for Guitar also provides excellent isolation, similar to that of the much less pleasing sounding built-in pickup. You see and hear a demonstration of that capability in another interactive demo.
